a great example of the historically old classic cars that are still running throughout the country. I really enjoyed how the the subject matter leads to the conversation in the background among the taxi drivers. There is a story to be told here, and I've captured a glimpse of it. My technique for this painting was to maintain a very traditional work flow when creating this. By this I mean picking the accurate colors, not just sampling them from a picture. Each brush stroke was done with great care and not just patched together from the reference. Basically, it started from scratch as a blank screen and with the same approach that I would take for traditional oil painting. This was an exercise in detail, but really pleased how it turned out.
