Created by Canadian artist Gary O'Brien, this original oil painting captures the passion, precision, and legacy of Neil Peart."  This portrait of Legendary drummer Neil Peart was a very fulfilling piece upon completion.  With several hundred hours of intense detail, each brushstroke really mattered trying to recreate this concert scene.  Knowing that Neil Peart was a very intense drummer, it was important to me to capture one of those rare moments when Neil Peart actually breaks free from his "all-business" mode and gives a smile while performing.  It didn't happen often in concert but I was always thrilled to witness those moments.  He is one of the best musicians in the world of Rock music, he was an absolute icon to me, and I wanted to pay tribute to him and show how much he is missed and what his music meant.
